Matthias Langenaeker has been working at Semetis as Strategy Director since November 2025. In this capacity, he is, together with the teams, responsible for developing marketing strategies for Semetis’ clients and also helps shape the further development of Semetis in the market.
Unlike most of his colleagues, Matthias had already built up a broad professional track record before joining Semetis. His introduction to the advertising world began at Trustmedia, after which he started working as a Digital Planner at Initiative. The largest part of his career was spent at Publicis Groupe Belgium, where he grew from Media Planner to Head of Strategy & Data. During that period, he was responsible for teams and expertise in comms strategy, research & data analysis, marketing effectiveness and media planning. In addition, he has also been active within organisations such as UMA, UBA, Commpass and IHECS.
Outside of work, Matthias is the father of three young daughters, holds a season ticket at KAA Gent, would like to get back into running a bit more, and spends a lot of time in the kitchen.
