Xander Schepens

Xander joined the team in February 2022 and is currently Digital Business Consultant at Semetis.

Straight after finishing high school, Xander decided to enroll for a Bachelor in Business Administration at the KU Leuven as this was his field of interest. As the lectures were being teached exclusively in English on the campus of Brussels, he grew his language skills through studying in an international environment. He ended up graduating for his bachelor's degree in 2018. Right after, he started a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Strategic Marketing Management, again at KUL’s Brussels Campus, which he graduated from in August 2019. In the frame of personal projects, he finally pursued a 1-year certification in Artist Management and Event Organisation, at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion in Louvain-La-Neuve, which came to an end in June 2020.

Xander discovered his passion for digital marketing and entrepreneurship during early stages of his higher education, as it fastly became clear that it drove excitement and interest beyond the scope of his studies. Through different projects, such as the launch of an independent electronic music label, or the organization of fundraising events as one of the founding members of the Rotaract team of KUL Campus Brussels, he quickly understood the importance and potential of digital marketing to reach your target audience.

In order to apply his marketing knowledge to a real-life context, Xander worked as a Marketing & Communication executive trainee for 4 months at Out Of Border SRL, an artist management agency. Besides designing their social media strategies, he also had to target and optimize the digital marketing campaigns of the agency. Later on, Xander also worked for 1 year as a Reconciliation Expert Member at ING Belgium, which took his analytical skills to another level. These experiences led him to believe that his function at Semetis was without a single doubt made for him.

Next to his work, Xander also likes to listen to music as well as producing it himself. He fancies playing sports such as basketball, tennis or football, and he wishes to visit as many countries as possible during his lifetime. Xander enjoys spending time with his roommates, who are his closest friends, and, when home, loves to play video games or watch good movies with them. When the sun is out, you could easily find Xander on a terrasse, having some delicious food or drinking a fresh beer with a few friends.
